Tyrell Smith
Offensive Line

Now serving as the team’s Offensive Line Coach, he instills a mindset that goes beyond blocking it’s about setting the tone, protecting the team, and dominating the trenches.
Coach Smith’s philosophy is built around three core principles: Protect. Punish. Dominate. He demands that his linemen take pride in their role as the foundation of the offense. Known for his no-nonsense approach, he tells his players, “If you don’t want to be here, I don’t want you.
” His "Linedawgs" are expected to play with controlled aggression, masterful technique, and an elite football IQ.
His expectations are clear:
• Over communicate at the line.
• Recognize and adapt to defensive fronts.
• Protect the quarterback at all costs.
• Finish every play through the echo of the whistle.
At the heart of his system is the FPAA philosophy:
• Fundamentals Win Battles – Mastering stance, footwork, hand placement, and leverage.
• Physicality is the Standard Compete with toughness and relentless effort, every rep.
• Adaptability is a Must - Be ready to play any position, any time.
• Accountability is Everything – One missed assignment affects the entire unit.
Coach Smith demands that his offensive linemen be more than just athletes they must be disciplined, dependable, and fiercely loyal to the brother next to them.
“The trenches are a warzone for four quarters,” he says. “Don’t line up unless you’re ready to go to battle.”
His mission is clear: to build dominant linemen who are prepared to succeed at the next level.
