The Garden State Herd has made another addition. Adding former University of Virginia Charlottesville defensive linemen David Smith (@kingdave54_) to the lineup.
We asked Defensive Line coach Dominick Barbetta (@gsh_coachdom) about Smith’s arrival. “Davids got some catching up to get done but no doubt he has all the measurables. Good feet, long limbs, strong upper body, tenacity etc. Once I get some time with him to bring out that potential thats been hidden he can easily be one of the best tackles in the entire country. A little condition work, a dash of agility balancing, and a pinch of technique progressions will make him a household name for sure. He’ll be a great fit for the program and my boys on the line.”

David was quoted earlier today upon his arrival. When asked why The Herd? “I choose to join the Herd because I feel that it’s more of a family then just a team. From the coaches, to the players I believe that it’s a lot of success around this organization.”
At 6’3 310Lbs Smith is sure to help out in defensive coordinator Juan DePena’s (@tactical___rhino ) defensive front.
