Coach Elijah Taylor, better known around the program as “Coach Perm,” is the heartbeat of the running backs room and a true definition of a players’ coach.

Known for his energy, confidence, and infectious positivity, Coach Perm brings it every day on the field, in the meeting room, and especially in the pregame huddle when it’s time to get locked in.

A former junior college athlete himself, Coach Perm understands the grind and knows firsthand what it takes to level up on the field and in the classroom. His experience gives him a unique ability to guide players who are trying to take that next step in their athletic and academic journeys.

He’s passionate about helping his backs reach their full potential and refuses to let any of his players sell themselves short.

Coach Perm’s coaching goes beyond drills and game plans. He’s the type of leader who will run through a wall for his guys and expects that same effort in return. He constantly challenges his running backs to improve their craft, stay focused academically, and carry themselves with discipline and pride.
